Web Hosting is a service where your web pages are placed on a public accessible web server for viewing over the Internet by the public. Each web site has a specific address, like www.gohosting.com.au or www.gohosting.com.auhttp://webmail.gohosting.com.au. You can register a domain name for use with hosting or you could set up a sub domain off an existing domain name to place your web pages like www.something.gohosting.com.au.

• 2. What type of hosting does GoHosting offer?

GoHosting offers a number of different options for hosting including, FrontPage Extensions, ASP .NET, Cold Fusion, JSP, PHP, Perl, CGI and more. If you are unsure or need something different for your hosting requirements, please contact us and we will look at implementing your solution.

• 3. Does GoHosting offer a web design service?

GoHosting doesn’t directly offer design services, however a number of our customers are web designers and would be more than happy to offer advice or provide quotes on design of a website. If you would like information on design services please email design@gohosting.com.au.

• 4. How long does it take to set up a hosting account with GoHosting?

Once you have completed the customer order form you will receive a confirmation email and within 24 hours, you will receive an email with your username and password and name server details for delegation of your domain name. The whole process can take from 1 to 48 hours depending on the domain name.

• 5. Does GoHosting offer a WebMail facility?

Yes, once your account is set up, all you need to do to access your WebMail is visit www.yourdomain.com/webmail where yourdomain is the domain name set up with GoHosting.

• 6. Can I administer my own mail accounts?

Absolutely, GoHosting is all about putting you in control of your domain name, hosting and email. Email is the most widely used component of the Internet and it is important to make sure you’re in full control of your requirements. All you need to do to add or modify your mail accounts is log in to your control panel and click on the mail link and choose the option you would like. From your control panel, you can set up forwarders, auto responders, and change passwords. You can also set up mail lists and change your MX record if you are hosting your mail locally.

• 7. Does GoHosting offer web statistics?

Another important aspect of your website, is to know who is visiting your site, what are they looking at, what documents are they retrieving, when is your busiest time, and how they are finding your site or who is referring them. From your control panel under the “Web and FTP statistics” all of this information is available, either from our free statistics applications or you can even download raw log files if you would like to process the information yourself.

• 8. Does GoHosting offer SQL databases with my hosting package?

GoHosting offers, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL depending on your hosting platform. If you are hosted on a Linux Server, you are able to set up either a MySQL or PostgreSQL database yourself from the Control Panel. If you are on a Windows platform and require a MSSQL database to be setup, please contact us and we can set it up for you.

• 9. I don’t have a copy of my website, can GoHosting provide me with one?

Sure, if you are hosted on a Linux platform, you can log into your Control Panel, click the “Backup” link and take a full backup of your home directory and download it, right to your computer. If you are hosted on a Windows platform, please contact us and we can arrange to have a copy of your website made for you.

• 10. Does GoHosting offer Cold Fusion Hosting?

Yes, currently GoHosting offers Cold Fusion 5 hosting on the GoPremium hosting option.

• 11. Does GoHosting allow custom Cold Fusion tags to be used?
