You guys are just awesome!!!! As you can imagine I've worked with a few hosting providers over the years who's sole focus seems to be saying yes to receiving your payment and finding a way to say no to everything else, avoiding it or frustrating you until you give up. Its very refreshing to work with a hosting provider who works with you to achieve the outcomes you are looking for. You can use that as a testimonial if you like :-)

Choosing a Strong Password

Posted 25 September 2012 by Alan Dawe

While by far the majority of these compromises are via social engineering (being tricked into revealing you access details) or by virus installed on the user’s computer, it is also very important in this day to ensure that the passwords you choose at complex enough to avoid brute force attempts to gain access.

There are several websites that will generate strong random passwords for you.  One example is http://www.strongpasswordgenerator.com/

However, having a strong password is nothing close to as important as being cautious and aware of social engineering attacks and having quality and up to date virus defence on your computer systems.  Also very important is keeping your computer systems up to date with security patches.

Coming soon will be an article about some common social engineering attacks and also how to check and update your Windows computers and install and scan your computer with some recommended antivirus and antimalware protection.
