Email Hosting

What is Email Hosting?

Email hosting is a service that allows users to send, receive, and store emails on a more enterprise type environment. Unlike free email services, professional email hosting provides businesses with a custom email address, enhanced security, technical support, and various features tailored to the needs of organisations. This creates more trust for the email recipient.

Why do businesses need Email Hosting?

Businesses require email hosting to maintain a professional image, ensure data security, provide reliable communication, and have access to advanced features like collaboration tools, spam filtering, and data backups. Email hosting also offers better uptime and support compared to free email services. For example, if you send an invoice from yourdomain.com.au it looks more professional than if it came from @geemail.com

What options are available for Email Hosting?

The primary options for email hosting include POP (Post Office Protocol), IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol), and Exchange Online. Each option has its own advantages and is suitable for different business needs.

Our recommendation is Exchange Online as it is the most suitable for business, has the most advanced capabilities for email management and the best collaboration tools.

Which option is best for my business?

After evaluating the features and benefits of POP, IMAP, and Exchange Online, our recommendation is Exchange Online as the best email hosting option for businesses. Exchange Online provides the most comprehensive email capabilities, coupled with exceptional security, large storage resources, and seamless integration with other productivity tools. This makes it an ideal choice for organisations looking to enhance their communication, collaboration, and overall efficiency.

Do you provide spam and virus protection?

All our email hosting plans come with basic SPAM and Virus filtering, which works reasonably well for general use. For more advanced protection, we offer Enterprise SPAM and Virus filtering through our Barracuda SPAM Filtering Cluster, known for its sophisticated algorithms, real-time updates, and high accuracy in detecting and blocking threats. This solution provides enhanced security, greater control, and detailed reporting, making it ideal for large enterprises. Our team ensures seamless implementation and provides ongoing support and updates to keep your email communications secure and efficient.
